The Bronson volleyball team wasn’t a gracious guest Wednesday and the Vikings beat host White Pigeon 25-13, 25-13, 25-15 in a St. Joseph Valley tilt opener. White Pigeon dropped to 11-6-1 overall.
Bethany Hagner led the Chiefs with 10 digs and six kills, Rachel Brock posted five digs, Danielle Chantrenne had a pair of aces and six digs and Sydney Harmon finished with four kills.
“It was a tough night for us,” White Pigeon coach Tony Hooley said, “they are a really good team and well coached. They definitely have a height advantage at the net, but what bothered me was how much faster they were on the floor defensively than us. We are a scrappy team but that didn’t come into play tonight because of how well they terminated the ball.
“I actually thought we came away with some positives once you look at the game inside the game. If we could have interrupted the six-to-seven-point run they had in each set, the scores could have been much closer.”
