The Glen Oaks women’s basketball team emphatically defended the home court Wednesday with a 70-52 win over Kellogg.
It was the end of a grueling stretch of five games in 12 days, and the victory moved the Vikings to 14-8 overall and 6-6 in the MCCAA Western Division (fourth).
Anika Gasich drained five 3-pointers to finish with 19 points, and Courtney Moore backed that up with double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds). Alaina Schwarz registered 15 points and eight boards, Kira Smith posted nine points and eight boards and De’Ottia Robinson chipped in six points and five assists.
“After a rough start [we] pulled together a solid second half and were flawless from the free-throw line for the game (23-for-23),” assistant coach Deanna Doede said.”
