Each time the Three Rivers boys basketball team made a push, host Vicksburg pushed back harder Monday in a 72-49 Wolverine Conference victory.
The loss drops the Wildcats to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in league play. Vicksburg improved to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
Nine players scored for Three Rivers, including Trenton Karle’s 11-point performance. Alex Cottingham registered nine points and Johnel Stewart and Adam Reed both finished with eight. Cottingham had four of the team’s eight rebounds.
The Wildcats had seven assists and 16 turnovers in the game.
Brad Spieldenner totaled 11 points for a Bulldogs squad that produced four double-digit scorers.
