Three Rivers XC splits at Vicksburg

September 24, 2013 By Wes Morgan

Recording a 15-50 win over Dowagiac and dropping its heads-up race 47-16 with Vicksburg Tuesday, the Three Rivers girls cross country team turned in some of its better times of the season at the tri-meet.

Alicia Schmidtendorff placed fifth overall with a time of 20 minutes, five seconds, and Corolyn Kirchner was ninth in 21:03. Rain Barnes rounded out the top 10 with a time of 21:34.

“Some of our girls ran so well tonight,” Wildcats coach Josh Bell said. “It was awesome to see some strong performances to help us come away with a victory over Dowagiac, even though Vicksburg outran us.”

The Three Rivers boys beat Dowagiac 15-48 and lost to Vicksburg 30-25. David McCriston finished third overall for the Wildcats.
