Grinding out its fourth Wolverine Conference victory to remain undefeated in the league, Three Rivers’ volleyball team overcame a seven-point deficit in the first game to spark a three-set victory over Edwardsburg Thursday.
The Wildcats (14-6-5 overall, 4-0 Wolverine) took the first game 26-24, the second 25-18 and capped the night with a 29-27 win in the third.
“We played scrappy defense and covered the court well tonight,” Three Rivers coach Brandy Stalhood said. “We also blocked well and did a nice job offensively. Everyone contributed to the team win tonight.”
Teagan Reeves led the offense with 16 kills and added 14 digs and six blocks. Kalie Cole finished with 11 digs and 16 assists, Alexis Brown recorded 11 assists and Carly Nichols registered a pair of blocks and seven kills.
The Wildcats are off until next Thursday’s match against tough conference opponent Berrien Springs.
