Three Rivers’ Morgan Stuut breaks St. Xavier scoring record

Bourbonnais, Ill. — Logging arguably the greatest single game performance in Saint Xavier University women’s basketball history, junior forward Morgan Stuut (Marcellus, Mich./Three Rivers) notched her second triple-double of the season in No. 8 ranked SXU’s 117-80 victory over

Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) rival Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) Saturday afternoon at McHie Arena in Bourbonnais, Ill.  Stuut finished with a new school record 40 points and school record-tying 23 rebounds as well as 11 assists, which fell two short of tying Saint Xavier’s single-game record in that category, and game-high seven steals as well.  She also became SXU’s all-time career leader in rebounding (933) surpassing former standout Erin Hannemann, who racked up 932 career caroms from 2006-10.
