Senior Holly Hines continues to outclass the rest of the Wolverine Conference girls golf field this season as the Three Rivers standout win her third league jamboree Tuesday at Sauganash Golf Club.
Hines fired a 2-over-par 38 to win by four strokes over Plainwell’s Abbie Losiewski. The Wildcats finished fourth with a team total of 66. Brittany Klinger shot 52, Emma Conroy carded 54, Anna Ochsenrider finished with 64 and Brenin Booko posted 66.
Plainwell won the event with a 186, followed by Comstock 201 and South Haven 206.
“[Hines] is hitting the ball great right now,” Three Rivers coach Phil Webb said. “Lately she’s been focusing on getting her confidence back in her putting. She is really looking forward to some challenging 18-hole tournaments we have coming up — Coldwater later this week and Sturgis next week. She always seems to rise to the challenge.”
