Three Rivers volleyball grabbed three victories in Monday’s quad meet hosted by Kalamazoo Central. The Wildcats defeated the hosting Maroon Giants 25-15, 25-23; downed Berrien Springs 25-18, 25-23; and topped Colon 25-18, 25-1.
Kali Heivilin finished the day with 18 kills, 19 digs, and 9 aces. Ellana Haifley led the Wildcats in kills with 22 and added two aces. Shantel Blyly defensively picked up 24 digs and added three aces.
With the wins, Three Rivers sits at 5-1 overall with their lone loss at defending state champion Mendon. The Wildcats begin Wolverine Conference play Thursday with their home opener against Sturgis.
Kalamazoo Central was second best on the day as they defeated Colon 25-18, 25-13 and topped Berrien Springs 26-24, 25-16. The Colon-Berrien Springs score was not available.
