Morgan Pueschel had seven digs and three aces, Rachel Anderson collected 10 digs and 12 kills and Kelsey Metzger notched 21 assists, five kills and four digs for the Trojans, which improved to 8-7 overall this year. Jamie Lioy added three aces and four kills, Hollie Myers contributed six kills and four blocks and Hannah Marchand recorded four aces and four digs.

“I thought we did a great job in the first set of establishing our offense,” Sturgis coach Von Metzger said. “That comes from doing a nice job on serve receive, and I thought we passed serve very well in the first and third sets. We lost our focus a little in the second set and let them get some momentum that allowed them to hang close for most of that set.  I challenged the girls to come out with more focus in the third game and I was glad to see that they rose to the challenge and closed out the match in three games.”
