“I thought we did a great job in the first set of establishing our offense,” Sturgis coach Von Metzger said. “That comes from doing a nice job on serve receive, and I thought we passed serve very well in the first and third sets. We lost our focus a little in the second set and let them get some momentum that allowed them to hang close for most of that set. I challenged the girls to come out with more focus in the third game and I was glad to see that they rose to the challenge and closed out the match in three games.”
