Battle Creek Lakeview hounded the visiting Trojans defensively in a runaway 53-22 victory Friday.
Kirby Homer pushed the Spartans, which are now 7-3 overall and 5-1 in Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference play, with 20 points.
Nicolette Nelson led Sturgis (2-8, 2-5 SMAC) with 14 points, Marissa Parker and Gretchen Inman finished with three apiece and Harmony Groves added two.
Inman added three defensive rebounds, Rachel Anderson had six boards and five blocks, Kayla Nichols registered three assists and Nelson tallied five boards.
The Trojans take a break from the SMAC when they take on Centreville on the road Tuesday.
