Lakeland’s boys basketball team limped back home over the Michigan-Indiana border Saturday after host Sturgis dealt the Lakers a 67-46 defeat.
A night after struggling on the same floor, junior Jack Scheske was in a zone on 6-of-10 shooting for a game-high 20 points. He connected on 5 of 8 triples and finished with two rebounds, two assists and four steals.
Chance Stewart scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Jacob Cline had four points, Andrew Airgood posted nine points and five assists, Tristen Stewart recorded a point and five assists and Nick Rehm had two points.
Also making an impact for the Trojans were Lonnie Wright, who notched five points, and Ryan Schuller (seven points and three rebounds).
The Trojans are 9-5 overall this season and travel to Battle Creek Central Tuesday for a Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference tilt.
