White Pigeon reactions:
Shaun Harmon (Senior, 145 pounds)
“It was a good season overall, I was actually kind of nervous that I wouldn’t make the SJV team because during my match against Mendon I bumped up to 152 from my usual 145 and dropped the match. So I was happy that it didn’t affect my standings. (He finished with a 30-12 record.)
Jordan Lucas (Senior, 135)
“When I made the SJV I was confident about it and happy I did and I was glad with my season I ended it with a 28-9 record and at the 135 and 140 weight classes.”
Braydon Steeb (Sophomore, 125)
“Well, it was a pretty good year I thought. I was really excited to hear my name called for it and made me feel like I accomplished a lot more this year than last year. I had a goal for at least 25 wins this year and went 30-12. I just think I could’ve done better at districts and can’t wait to see what next year brings me.”
Rogelio Segundo (Junior, 112)
“I am really proud to be All-SJV. This is my second year and my season went good. I had a lot of hard matches. I went 35-10 and am looking forward to my senior year. I’m hoping that more of my teammates can get All-SJV next year.”
Devin Hoover (Senior, 189)
“I knew it wouldn’t be easy to get. My record was something I could be proud of (35-10). This record, along with my leadership as a captain, is probably the reason I was voted MVP. All together it was a grate season.”
