Constantine slipped to 1-6 in the Kalamazoo Valley Association Friday after a 47-34 loss to Schoolcraft.
With a 28-18 first-half lead, the Eagles, led by a 10-point effort from Hannah Huysken, improved to 4-6 overall and 4-5 in the league. Constantine dropped to 2-7 overall.
Bailey Potter and Ashley Loose both notched 10 points for the Falcons, Michelle Smith added six, Emily Bowers posted five and Emily Schrock added three.
Smith led the team with nine rebounds, Loose secured seven and Potter and Amber Chupp each finished with five. Smith also had five assists.
“Both teams showed outstanding resilience,” Constantine coach Joe Stacey said. “Schoolcraft hit its shots at the right times. Our defense and offensive rebounding kept us in the game. The girls played together and executed the best they had all season. We took good shots all night, but when we truly needed a bucket, it just didn’t fall.”
