Schoolcraft started fast and never eased up in a 73-42 win over host Constantine Monday in a Class C boys district quarterfinal basketball game.
The Eagles (17-4) will play Centreville (bye) in Wednesday’s semifinals.
A young Falcons squad (one senior) finished the year 1-19.
Outscoring Constantine 22-8 in the first quarter, Schoolcraft went on to build a 40-17 halftime lead. Trevor Stoddard scored a game-high 20 points for the Eagles, with Parker Leighton adding 15 and Caleb Proksch posting 10. Eight of Leighton’s points came in the first quarter, which included a pair of 3-pointers.
Perry White anchored Constantine with 17 points and Joey Steiner finished with 11. Cody Ley contributed six points, Austin Kinser scored four, and Eli Beegle and Jon Doering each had two.
Schoolcraft knocked down eight triples in the effort.
Constantine turned the ball over 19 times and shot 36 percent for the game (18-for-50). Ley led the Falcons with eight rebounds.
