The action starts at 1 p.m. ET with the K-College women against MIAA foe Albion. Up second, the Hackett Catholic boys basketball team battles Stoney Creek around 3 p.m. The third and final contest around 5 p.m. sees the Hornet men hosting Spring Arbor.
The opening contest is the second MIAA game of the year for the Kalamazoo College women (0-1) and the fourth for Albion (2-1). The Hornets are 0-7 overall with Albion at 7-2. The Britons won both meetings last season with a 62-51 final in Kalamazoo and a 69-29 score at Albion.
In the second game, Hackett Catholic will be meeting a Stoney Creek school with more than six times their enrollment. The Irish boys enter the weekend at 2-0, facing conference foe Delton Kellogg Friday prior to meeting the Cougars. It’s the only game of the week for Stoney Creek, who holds a 2-2 mark.
In the final contest, the Kalamazoo men enter at 2-7 overall with the NAIA’s Spring Arbor at 12-2. It’ll be their first meeting since the 1990s. The Cougars are 2-0 against MIAA teams with wins over Alma and Albion. For the Hornets, they’re hoping to snap a seven-game skid.
