What started as a promising night at Colon Friday ended up being an illusion for the Magi. After scoring the game’s first touchdown, Colon watched Southern Central Athletic Association opponent Pittsford rattle off six touchdowns for a 43-8 victory.
Ryan Napier connected with Tyler Shipper for a 32-yard touchdown in the first quarter for what turned out to be the only points the Magi could muster. Pittsford’s Levi Hollis rushed for three touchdowns to push the Wildcats (4-1) to their fourth straight win.
Trenton Brackma tacked on two more rushing scores and Bryce Collar added the final blow from 25 yards out to total 308 team rushing yards. Pittsford finished with 340 yards of total offense compared to Colon’s 143.
Napier led the Magi with 69 yards on 11 carries and 44 yards through the air on 6-of-15 passing. Since beating Howe Academy in Week 1 and collecting a forfeit in Week 2, Colon, depleted by injuries, has lost its last three contests.
