It was a rough start for Constantine’s baseball team in Paw Paw on Wednesday.
After a scoreless first inning, Paw Paw jumped on the Falcons for six runs in the second inning and four more in the third en route to an 11-5 victory in a non-league game.
Constantine could get just four hits off the Redskins’ pitchers. Mike Morey, Eric Petoskey, Zack Sherman and Nick West each had a single and Sherman drove in two runs. Bruce Heslet was fast on the basepaths, stealing two bases. The Falcons scored single runs in the fourth and fifth innings before notching its final three runs in the seventh inning.
Starter Jon Doering was the losing pitcher.
For Paw Paw, Parker Marcon had two hits, two stolen bases and drove in three runs; Austin Callahan had a single and a double and Bobby Yarbrough had a single and drove in two runs.
