White Pigeon’s trip to New Buffalo didn’t go according to plan and the Chiefs left with a 14-7 defeat. It was the Chiefs’ second straight loss of the year and the Bison’s first victory of the season.
New Buffalo’s (1-3) John Tamoswski rushed for an 18-yard touchdown in the first quarter for the only scoring of the first half. In the third quarter, White Pigeon’s Hunter Rummier recovered a fumble and returned it for his team’s only touchdown of the game, and the contest remained tied until Tamoswksi crossed the goal line again in the fourth stanza from three yards out.
The Chiefs (2-2) were outgained 156-85 for the game and ran just 32 total plays. White Pigeon was held to 41 yards rushing and lost a fumble. Quarterback Matt Eger completed 4 of 8 passing attempts for 44 yards, and both Cahil Krajniak and Chas Rathburn were held to under 30 yards rushing.

Rathburn paced the team with eight total tackles (five solo), Rummier added seven, including 1.5 for loss, and Eger posted six stops (two for loss). Krajniak made five tackles.
Attempts to reach White Pigeon coach Jospeh Morsaw after the game were unsuccessful.
