Mendon volleyball ends regular season with win over Colon

The Mendon volleyball team closed out the regular season with a 25-7, 25-12, 25-17 victory at Colon Tuesday. The Hornets, ranked No. 1 in Class C, improved to 36-6-2 before heading into this Saturday’s St. Joseph Valley League tournament.

Loryn Baughman finished with four aces and 16 assists. Brooke Howard recorded 11 kills to lead the team’s offense. Mendon enters the tournament 6-0 in conference play.

Leading the offense for the Magi were Sarah Hutson (five kills, two blocks) and Makayla Craun (two kills, two blocks, one ace). Cole-Anna Clemens posted six assists and two kills.
