Zach Darmofal and his Mendon boys basketball teammates were dialed in Tuesday for a 75-52 win over visiting Niles-Brandywine.
Darmofal, a 6-foot senior guard, knocked down 7 of 10 field goal attempts, including 3 of 5 shots from 3-point land, for 28 points. He finished 11-for-15 at the foul line, grabbed five rebounds and had two steals.
On top of that effort, senior forward Joe Gales connected on a trio of 3-pointers for 15 points and junior guard Jordan Medich went 7-for-9 from the field to end the evening with 15 points and a team-best eight rebounds.
The Hornets, which are now 5-2 this season, shot 47.3 percent for the game and 58.3 percent from behind the arc (7-for-12).
Marcus Craft and Parker Cupp each added five points, Kyle Wiswell totaled four and Elijah Klepper and Logan Slaughter both contributed two. Gales and Slaughter both secured five rebounds for the Hornets.
