Nineteen was the magic number for Maple Valley’s boys basketball Tuesday night, with three of its players registering that many points in an 80-60 win over Constantine.
Perry White, who dropped three consecutive 3-pointers in the third quarter to cut the deficit to nine points, led Constantine with 18 points, Cody Ley tossed in 17 and Joey Steiner finished with 14. The Falcons slipped to 0-8 overall and 0-7 in Kalamazoo Valley Association play.
Maple Valley’s Louis Martinez-Fernandez recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Micah Bromely had 19 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, and Andrew Brighton was the third player to ring up 19 points.
Maple Valley is now 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the KVA.
