Magi blow by Jackson Christian

December 20, 2013 By Wes Morgan

Colon’s trip to Jackson Christian Thursday yielded a 70-55 victory in Southern Central Athletic Association boys basketball action.

Brad Brittingham’s 27-point effort was the latest in four consecutive outings with at least 19 points to start the season. But he had plenty of support on the road, including 10 points from Mike Flick, nine by Tyler Schipper and eight by Spencer Smolarz.

Bailey Tyler chipped in six points, Brandon Hinkley added five, Logan Vaughn scored three and Brett Prell finished with two for the Magi, which improved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the league.

Brittingham also grabbed six rebounds and had four steals and four blocks. Smolarz was credited with six assists and five rebounds.

Jackson Christian’s Sam Sukta erupted for 32 points in the loss, which dropped his team to 0-4.
