Loy Norrix picked up a dominant boys basketball win Monday evening on their home floor against Parchment 65-31. The Knights had 13 players find the scoresheet, pulling away after hitting seven three-pointers in the first half.
LN raced out to a quick 11-3 lead using three triples by Nmeso Nnebedum. The Panthers kept the hole at eight points at the end of the first quarter trailing 19-11, but found themselves behind 39-20 by halftime. The Norrix defense tightened in the third quarter, allowing only one point until a three was made at the final horn.
Nnededum led all scorers with 14 points and was the only player to reach double-digits. Henry Knapp topped Parchment with nine.
Both teams move to 1-2 overall after Monday’s result. The Panthers are right back at it as they host Allegan Tuesday, followed by a home BCS battle Friday with Berrien Springs.
