Centreville won its first game of the season Friday in a 26-20 overtime thriller at Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian. JoeInsider.com caught up with senior quarterback/defensive back Zach Teadt and senior running back/defensive back Zach Bauman Saturday morning to get their reactions on the victory.
Zach Teadt
On his overall thoughts on the win:
“We played hard for the entire game, and fought through OT. The boys played hard when the time came. We’re a family and we played like it.”
On heading into overtime:
“I felt confident. We had a good tempo flowing. Defensively Nick Kelley had a nice swat on the ball on third down. Our O-line got us that TD.”
Zach Bauman
On getting the first victory:
“Hard fought game and both sides never gave up. Our line did a great job to give us the opportunity to win and in the end we wanted it more.”
On heading into overtime:
“We got amped and were ready. Our O-line gave us a great seal to score from the outside. Our backers came up huge, swatting a pass down to seal it.”
