Nasty weather in this part of the state has forced the Glen Oaks Community College women’s basketball team to jam four games in a seven-day span, but the Vikings looked fresh Monday evening.
In a runaway win, Glen Oaks downed visiting Jackson for a 72-54 decision to improve to 12-7 overall and 4-5 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Division.
Courtney Moore produced another double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, with Alaina Schwarz not far behind (16 points, nine rebounds). Anika Gasich (14 points), De’Ottia Robinson (nine) and Au’zhane King (seven assists) also played big roles in a much needed league win.
Glen Oaks is at it again Wednesday at Kalamazoo Valley, which is 16-4 overall and 8-1 in the Western Conference (second place).
