The Colon girls basketball team dropped to 3-17 overall after Friday’s 43-31 loss at Battle Creek St. Philip to end the regular season.
Makayla Craun scored 15 points and secured 19 rebounds to go with four steals and three blocks. Anessa Broker produced 10 points, Morgan Czajkowski grabbed 10 rebounds on top of four points and Ashleigh Wolf added two points.
“[We] lost a good game to Battle Creek St. Phil,” Magi coach Sharon Craun said. “Makayla Craun played an outstanding game. The girls played very hard. It’s one of the best games we have played this year. I am proud my girls.”
The Magi and Marcellus meet Wednesday in Class D district semifinal play in Burr Oak after receiving first-round byes.
