Each player in a White Pigeon girls basketball uniform contributed to the Chiefs’ 53-27 home victory Tuesday against Marcellus Howardsville Christian.
And with nine total scorers, head coach Jeff Baechler’s program improved to 8-7 overall this season.
Haley Miller led the Chiefs with 14 points and six rebounds. Bethany Hagner finished with 10, and Riley Phelps and Rachel Brock had eight.
Danielle Chantrenne grabbed four steals and Bethany Hagner added four assists.
“We came out with more energy tonight and had fun,” said Baechler, whose team was up 17-6 at the end of the first quarter. “Defense was awesome. I am really proud of our effort tonight. It was a team win.”
White Pigeon made 21 of 59 field goal attempts and was 8-for-14 from the foul line.
Jessica Glass led MHC with 12 points.
