Burr Oak’s girls basketball team unloaded on host Tekonsha Friday and boasted nine scorers in a 61-12 SCAA victory.
Jade Summey made it back-to-back nights with a double-double, finishing with a game-high 13 points and 22 rebounds. Sydney Owens popped in 11 points, and both Jade Lown and Hannah Root recorded nine.
Chelsey Boyd scored all seven of her points in the second quarter to help the Bobcats (6-13, 3-11) build a 35-11 lead by halftime. Ariel Schwemer and Alexis Habib each netted four points, and Tori Everitt and Michaela Ultz registered two apiece.
“Good team win,” Burr Oak coach Jennifer Sutton said. “Eighth-grader Sydney Owens had her best game shooting of the season with 11 points and also showed quickness on defense to finish with seven steals.”
