Burr Oak’s Jade Summey notched a double-double in a 40-31 road loss Thursday at Hillsdale Academy.
The senior scored 13 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead the Bobcats, which slipped to 5-12 overall. Tori Everitt, Jade Lown, Chelsey Boyd and Hannah Root each registered four points, and Sydney Owens added two.
“We came out flat the first half,” Burr Oak coach Jennifer Sutton said. “Came back in the third [quarter] with more confidence to make it exciting. We never gave up … very proud of them for that.”
Calhoun Christian led 21-10 at halftime and got 19 points for the game from Claire Tribbett.
