Constantine’s boys cross country team finished the league season with a fourth-place finish at Tuesday’s Kalamazoo Valley Association championship. The Falcons scored 88 points. Schoolcraft won the meet with 39 points, followed by Maple Valley (57) and Kalamazoo Christian.
Dave Jones (17:51) and Isaac Hartley (17:56) crossed the finish in fourth and fifth place, respectively for Constantine to earn all-league status. Noah Beegle was 24th in 19:57, Ezra Amstutz placed 30th (19:57), Tim Kenney was 33rd (20:26), Hunter Kline finished 34th (20:27) and Patrick Ryan was 52nd (21:35).
The Falcons’ girls team was eighth overall with 183 points. Hackett (44), Olivet (74) and Schoolcraft (111) claimed the top-three team slots.
Malorie Hulse turned in a 21st-place performance of 22:57 and finished the conference season as a KVA honorable mention. Tielar Faulkner was 33rd in 24:02, Emily Schrock placed 38th in 24:45, Melissa McNamara (25:22) was 43rd and Alexis Middleton (48th) turned in a time of 25:59. Caroline Stacey (50th) ran a 26:05 and Erica Rodman’s 31:51 was good for 61st.
