“It was our final race this season at our home course,” girls coach Josh Bell said. “We went out with the goal of beating Edwardsburg tonight but came up a little short. The girls responded well to my challenge to place higher than the other teams’ runners. We always want to do well in conference meets but tonight it just didn’t happen. We will look ahead to when we race them again in a couple of weeks.
The Three Rivers boys lost to Edwardsburg 22-33 and lost to Otsego 15-50. Otsego brothers Justin Starr and Tyler Starr finished 1-2 with times of 17:11 and 17:13. The Bulldogs also claimed the next three spots. Alfredo Castro placed 10th for the Wildcats in 20:11.
