Glen Oaks basketball hosted Southwestern Michigan College in MCCAA Western Conference action Wednesday evening. The Viking women were victorious 82-60, while the GOCC men fell by a bucket 69-66.
In the women’s game, Constantine grad Hannah Outlaw led in scoring with 20 points, while adding eight rebounds with eight deflections, three steals, two blocks, and two assists. Eliana Wilson scored 14 points, Angel Gary had 12, and Zharia Hotobah-During tallied 10. Kam Patterson led the Roadrunners with 14 points.
The win puts the Viking women at 5-0 in the Western Conference and 11-9 overall; currently riding a six-game win streak. Southwestern Michigan drops to 12-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

In the men’s game, Daivion Boleware led the Glen Oaks effort with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Deandre Francis scored 15 and Caleb Byrd tallied 14 points. The Roadrunners top scorer was Mark Williams with 15 points.
The result puts the Viking men at 9-11 overall and 3-2 in the Western Conference. Southwestern Michigan is also 3-2 in conference play and 12-6 overall.

Glen Oaks basketball returns to action at Kalamazoo Valley Saturday afternoon. Both will be critical games in the standings as both the Cougar men and women are 5-0 thus far in the Western Conference.
