Glen Oaks women knocked out in district final

The women’s basketball season for Glen Oaks ended Saturday in the Great Lakes District B Championship game in Flint.   The Vikings fell to Grand Rapids Community College 83-66 in the finale, as the Raiders used a 29-12 third quarter to pull away.

GOCC’s top scorer in the game was Sarah Dekoning with 15 points.  Hannah Outlaw had 14 points along with 21 rebounds.  Eliana Wilson scored 11 with nine rebounds.  GRCC got 28 points from Sally Merrill and a 27 point, 15 rebound game from Grace Lodes.

Glen Oaks finishes with a 17-13 overall record.   Grand Rapids improves to 19-8 and advances to the NJCAA Division II national tournament.
