Four players scored double figures for the Glen Oaks Community College men’s basketball team Friday in an 81-75 win at Grand Rapids.
The Vikings outrebounded the Raiders 56-41 to improve to 12-2 overall and 3-0 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Division. Angelo Griffis shot 10-for-19 from the field, with 3 of 5 triples dropping, for a game-high 23 points. He added 16 rebounds for a double-double. Joining him was fellow forward Lee Gardner III, who notched 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Point guard Joseph Beard had 10 points and nine assists, and Aundreyan Roberts poured in 13 points.
“One of the biggest keys to our big conference win was 56 total rebounds a sa team. You will win a lot of games that way.”
Glen Oaks, which had a 42-32 lead at halftime, was 30-for-70 (42.9 percent) from the field and the Raiders finished 27-for-71 (38 percent).
