Extending its winning streak to 12 games, the Glen Oaks men’s basketball team thumped visiting Jackson Monday 94-73 to remain at the top of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Conference standings.
The Vikings, which are just outside the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II top-20 rankings, are now 18-2 overall and 9-0 in divisional play.
“We blew the game wide open at the start of the second half with great pressure defense that transitioned to points,” Glen Oaks coach Steve Proefrock said.
Angelos Griffis filled up the scoresheet with 30 points, Lee Gardner III posted 21 and Aundreyan Roberts added 17 to round out the double-digit scorers for the Vikings. Joe Beard was in the mix with eight points, Jason Starks put up seven, Quilyn Howard-Upshaw had six and Aleksander Antic finished with five.
