Glen Oaks basketball sweeps Ancilla

The Glen Oaks basketball teams earned home conference victories Wednesday night against Marian University’s Ancilla.   The Viking women picked up a 57-47 win, while the men took their game 76-72.

Leading the GOCC women was Angel Gary with a team-high 17 points, plus seven rebounds and four steals.  Sarah DeKoning also cracked double-digits with 10 points.  For the men, Daivion Boleware led the offense with 22 points.  Caleb Byrd tallied 13 points with seven assists and Deandre Francis picked up 10 points and eight rebounds.

Both Glen Oaks teams sit at 8-9 overall and 2-0 to start MCCAA Western Conference play.  Ancilla’s women drop to 12-5 and 1-1 in league play with the loss, while the Charger men move to 9-5 overall and also 1-1 in conference.   On Saturday afternoon, the Vikings make the trip to play Lake Michigan College.
