MHSAA District championships were awarded for girls soccer teams this week. Five Kalamazoo county teams and one St. Joseph county team emerged with the district trophy and a trip to next week’s regional round. District #19: Gull Lake 2, Plainwell 1 (OT)
-Gull Lake moves to 14-3 and plays Byron Center Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the regional semifinal at Vicksburg. Plainwell ends 13-3-1.
District #3: Portage Central 4, Portage Northern 0
-The Mustangs improve to 15-2-1 and play Forest Hills Central in Tuesday’s regional semifinal at Grandville. The Huskies finish 9-8-4.
District #49: Schoolcraft 6, Lake Michigan Catholic 1
-The Eagles move to 14-2-3 with their first-ever girls soccer district crown. Schoolcraft faces Kalamazoo Christian in the 7 p.m. regional semifinal Tuesday at Portage Northern. LMC ends 12-2-2.

District #52: Kalamazoo Christian 3, Jackson Lumen Christi 2
-The Comets improve to 14-5 and battle Schoolcraft in Tuesday’s regional semifinal at 7 p.m. from Portage Northern. LC closes at 9-7.
District #33: Three Rivers 5, Dowagiac 0
-The Wildcats move to 7-5-1 and face Comstock in the regional semifinal at 7 p.m. Tuesday at GR South Christian.

District #36: Comstock 8, Springport 5
-The Colts improve to 16-4-1 and secure their first-ever girls soccer title. Comstock faces Three Rivers in the regional semifinal at 7 p.m. Tuesday from Grand Rapids South Christian.
