In Thursday’s Division 4 girls basketball regional championship game, Hackett Catholic Prep defeated Colon 35-29. For the Irish, it is their first-ever girls basketball regional title.

The Magi took a five-point lead into halftime, but Hackett was able to go ahead in the fourth. Colon finishes their season with a 21-5 record. It was their second regional final appearance in three years.
HCP moves to 18-8 and faces Adrian Lenawee Christian in Tuesday’s quarterfinal game hosted by Bellevue.
