Three Rivers routed Sturgis 62-13 in girls basketball Friday, keeping the Ladycats unbeaten at 8-0. TR had more steals (28) than the Trojans had points.
“We were able to feed off our home crowd and apply pressure constantly,” said Three Rivers coach Jason Bingaman. “Sturgis was a bit shorthanded and we took advantage playing fast and very well as a team defensively. We are looking forward to two big games Monday and Tuesday.”
Now 3-0 in the Wolverine South division, TR returns to action against North division leader Plainwell Monday, which can be heard live via JoeInsider.com. They head to Gull Lake for a non-conference test Tuesday.
Sturgis drops to 6-5 and 2-2 in division games. They also have Plainwell up next, although they don’t meet the blue Trojans until they host them next Friday.
