Lawrence got the better of Mendon 41-29 in an important Southwest 10 Conference girls basketball game Tuesday. Overall, the Hornets drop to 11-2 and the Tigers improve to 8-5. Mendon is 7-2 in league play and Lawrence is 6-4.
The season series is a split, as Mendon won 48-29 when the Hornets hosted. Mendon is off until playing at White Pigeon next Tuesday. Lawrence plays at Hartford Friday.
