Centreville girls basketball gave Bloomingdale a solid effort at home Tuesday, but the Cardinals prevailed 43-36. The Bulldogs fall to 8-12 with the defeat while Bloomingdale moves to 14-6.
“Our girls had a great second half, but the first half was too much for us to overcome,” said Centreville head coach Jill Peterson. “This team has the ability to do great things, we just need consistency throughout the whole game. When our backs are against the wall, it’s good to know we’ll continue to fight back; we just need to start that way out of the gate.”
Both teams are scheduled to close the season with crossover league games Thursday. Next Wednesday, the Bulldogs open district play at Constatnine against White Pigeon. On Monday, the Cardinals host Bangor to begin district play.
