Bloomingdale secured the outright Southwest 10 Conference girls basketball title Thursday with a 39-20 win at Centreville Thursday evening. The Bulldogs finish 9-11 overall and 9-9 in the standings, tied for fifth with Marcellus. The Cardinals close at 19-1 overall and 17-1 in league play.
““Our girls played tough tonight and all regular season,” said Centreville head coach Jill Peterson. “We’ll shift our focus now to the postseason and see what happens!”
The Bulldogs face Quincy in Monday’s 5:30 p.m. district game at Union City. The Cardinals play in Wednesday’s semifinal at Decatur against either the hosts or Bangor.
