Jordan Katje’s 19-point effort was more than enough to lift Kalamazoo Christian’s boys basketball team to a 57-24 victory over Southwestern Athletic Conference foe Constantine Friday evening in Kalamazoo.
Katje shot 82 percent from the field and the Comets, who jumped out to a 20-11 lead by the end of the first quarter and ended the game 42 percent from the field as a team. Sean Cummings added 14 points for the victors.
Trey Salisbury led the Falcons with nine points, Nolan Malcom and Dawson Kiess both had four, and Hunter Bacheller finished with three. Zach Bittner and Seth Wright each had two. Salisbury also paced Constantine with five rebounds.
