Galesburg-Augusta knocked out conference rival Delton Kellogg Monday with a 31-21 win in the first round of girls basketball District 79 hosted by the Rams. Jordyn Klimp scored 16 points for G-A in the victory.
With the win, Galesburg-Augusta improves to 5-8 and hosts Kalamazoo Christian in Wednesday’s 5 p.m. district semifinal. The Rams fell 49-38 and 38-23 in their earlier meetings with the Comets. The other side of the bracket has unbeaten Hackett Catholic against Maple Valley.
