Football Scoreboard: November 13-14

The third round of the 2020 MHSAA football playoffs see three St. Joseph county and two Kalamazoo county teams in action.  11-player teams are handing out district hardware with the 8-player ranks seeing regional champions crowned.  Below are scores from Friday and Saturday’s games.   Click the links highlighted in green for additional details from that game.

FRIDAY

Division 8
Centreville 32, Reading 14
-The Bulldogs end Reading’s bid for a third consecutive district title.   Now 8-0, Centreville hosts Sand Creek (8-1) in the regional final next week.

Division 7
Schoolcraft 42, Lawton 7
-The Eagles move to 8-1 with their third straight district title and host Division 7 runner-up Jackson Lumen Christi in a regional final rematch next week.

Division 6
Constantine 55, Buchanan 28
-The Falcons move to 8-1 as they secure their first district title since 2015.   Constantine hosts Michigan Center in the regional next week.

Division 2
East Lansing 42, Portage Northern 14
-The Huskies finish at 7-2 with their bid for a third straight district crown thwarted.

SATURDAY

8-Player Division 2
Portland St. Patrick 44, Colon 34
-The Magi finish at 7-2, ending their hopes for a state title repeat.
