Centreville had a huge 36-7 home Friday against two-time defending Southwest 10 Conference champ Cassopolis. The Bulldogs became the first league team to defeat the Rangers since Mendon did on October 13, 2017. It’s also Centreville’s first-ever football win over Cassopolis in 10 tries.
Defensively, the Bulldogs kept the Rangers to 116 total yards. All three of Sam Todd’s completed passes went for touchdowns to three different receivers.
Centreville moves to 3-0 overall and in league play, tied for the top spot with Mendon. The Bulldogs have a road game with the Hornets in week four.
Cassopolis falls to 2-1 both overall and in conference. The Rangers host White Pigeon (1-2) next week.
