Constantine wrestling’s trip to Climax-Scotts Saturday produced a second-place finish at the Jim Wade Family Invitational. The Falcons finished with 197 points, trailing only Kalamazoo Valley Association rival Schoolcraft (227).

Taylor Reiff (140 pounds), Andres Montoya (145), Daniel Waterman (171) and Alex Miller (215) all collected first-place medals for the Falcons. Kaitlyn Hill (160) recorded a 2-2 record and was voted the tournament’s most outstanding wrestler by the 14 coaches in attendance.

“We had some pretty good individual performances but as a team we didn’t look great,” Constantine coach Steve Wilson said. “Going into the final round we were losing to [Athens/Climax-Scotts] by 17 and the guys picked it up a little and overcame them in the final round.”
