Constantine’s girls basketball team outscored Kalamazoo Christian 23-13 in the middle two quarters but couldn’t complete the rally Friday at home in a 39-32 loss.
Bailey Potter and Ashley Loose each scored six points to lead the Falcons, which faced a 15-2 deficit after the first quarter. Michelle Smith and Emily Bowers both added five points, Makayla Parsons chipped in four, while Amber Chupp, DeShea Payton and Kayla Loose contributed two each.
The Falcons slipped to 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the Kalamazoo Valley Association.
Ashley Loose also secured eight rebounds, followed by Smith (six) and Payton (five). Potter and Chupp each had two assists and Potter grabbed four steals.
The Comets (4-3, 3-2) got nine points from Megan Laaksonen.
