Dowagiac edges Three Rivers

October 12, 2013 By Wes Morgan

In another defensive battle in the Wolverine Conference, Three Rivers’ football team came up a couple plays short in a 14-7 loss on the road against Dowagiac (6-1). The Wildcats fall to 4-3 overall and in the league, needing to win out to qualify for the postseason. Three Rivers quarterback Alex Cottingham threw for 60 yards and the team’s only touchdown to Johnel Stewart — a 54-yard completion. Dowagiac scored on the first possession of the second half and fended off the Wildcats the rest of the way.
