Constantine avoided a nonconference slip against upset minded Goshen Home School Thursday in a 25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 25-21 victory. The Falcons played on back-to-back nights and beat Kalamazoo Valley Association opponent Hackett Catholic Central Wednesday.
Jessica Mallo finished with 14 kills, seven digs and five aces, Zoe Jones added eight kills and 14 digs, Danica Lucas made her mark with seven kills and 13 digs and Jordan Smith produced five kills and four assists.
Kelsey Potter posted six digs, Michelle Smith added nine more and Cassie Wentela ended the evening with 29 assists and three aces.
“We played a very scrappy team tonight,” Falcons coach Niki Tulley said. “Although we attacked the ball pretty well, it was tough to put the ball down. Goshen had a tough defense and they started to shut us down a bit, but we were able to maintain our composer keep playing our game.”
